North Wales is famous for it's attractions.
From the world's fastest zip line to taking a stroll around a 700 year old castle.

Local Castles

North Wales is home to stunning castles like Conwy, Caernarfon, and Beaumaris, many of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These medieval fortresses offer a glimpse into the region’s rich history and provide visitors with impressive architecture, scenic views and a fascinating historical experience.

Local Walks

Llyn Crafnant and Llyn Geirionydd are both located around 5 minutes from Gwydyr View Lodge Park, offering fantastic walks.

“Llyn” is Welsh for lake but Llyn Crafnant is actually a reservoir and it was once the water supply for the nearby town of Llanrwst. Llyn Crafnant is three quarters of a mile long and the view from the head of the lake over the water to the mountains is one of the finest in North Wales.

Llyn Geirionydd is a popular lakeside picnic spot – it was reputedly the home of the 6th century poet Taliesin and a stone monument to him stands by the lake’s north bank.

Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa)

As well as being the largest National Park in Wales, Snowdonia boasts the highest mountain and the largest natural lake in Wales. With an extensive network of trails covering 100 lakes and craggy peaks, it truly is a nature lover’s paradise.

Zip World

Zip World in North Wales offers thrilling outdoor activities, including the world-famous Velocity 2 zip line, the fastest in the UK. With attractions like underground trampolining and forest coasters, it’s a must-visit for adventure seekers.

Portmeirion
